Hi there, welcome. Thanks so much for taking the time to visit my website.
At Neeraj Arora Photography, we specialize in individual, couples, and family/group portraiture. Portrait sessions are conducted at my home studio in Boyds, MD in both indoor and outdoor settings. In addition, we also cover a range of special milestone celebration events in the lives of our clients in Montgomery County, MD and the greater Washington DC metro area. These include baby showers/maternity shoots, high school and college graduations, special birthdays and anniversaries, engagements, pre-wedding ceremonies and receptions, retirements, and religious/cultural ceremonies.
It is my goal to use my art, skills, and professional photography gear to create high quality, heartwarming, and joyful images that can be displayed on your walls and in albums for everyone to cherish forever.
A Little About Me
I have lived in Montgomery County, MD for over 20 years. I am married to my lovely wife Daksha for 20 years, and we have a wonderful, teenage daughter Shairee. We love to travel, see new places, and experience different cultures. While we are home, Shairee and Daksha indulge me (after some cajoling 😉) by being my models in my portrait studio. Not surprisingly, you will see samples on my website from many of our fun family photoshoots that I have done in my studio.

I am an engineer by training; I received my PhD in Industrial Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I effectively have two very satisfying careers that enrich my soul: my 9-5 job as a healthcare researcher and my evening and weekend passion – my photography business.
My Passion for Photography and Approach
My passion for photography is deeply rooted in my own life experiences. Twenty-six years ago, I was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer. While I am very fortunate to have successfully overcome my illness and am a long-term cancer survivor today, my cancer journey made me simultaneously realize how short life could be and at the same time how beautiful and precious it was. I had a strong desire to ensure that I captured all the important moments in my life and that is how photography became an integral part of me and my camera, my constant companion.
I truly believe that my life is a gift and there are reasons to celebrate it every day. It is now my goal to create the same lifelong memories with my photography for other families that I strive to create on a regular basis for my own.
In my photography, I aim to combine my zest for life, love of connecting with people, and my technical background as an engineer to ensure my clients have a fun-filled and relaxed photography experience and together we create memories that will last them for a lifetime.
